ONE MISSION . MANY BORDERS . LOVE MULTIPLIED
“For even the son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…” (Mark 10:45)
People often ask, “Why should we go overseas to help others when there is so much to do at home?” While there has been a growing awareness and interest in overseas missions, many struggle with work and family commitments and feel challenged to go out of their comfort zones to help others overseas. Pope Francis has said, “I prefer a church which is bruised, hurting and dirty because it has been out on the streets, rather than a church which is unhealthy from being confined and from clinging to its own security.”
What does this mean for us and how should we respond to this call?
