TRUSTING GOD, SERVING TOGETHER
TRUSTING GOD, SERVING TOGETHER
From Volunteers
CHARIS
Volunteering in CHARIS' Humanitarian Forum and Fair 2025 is a journey of faith and service. Whether planning events, capturing moments, or embracing new responsibilities, each volunteer learns that mission work is about trust, willingness, and an open heart. Wendy, TJ, Agnes, and Elaine show how serving others becomes a way to share God’s love and make a real impact.
Many of us feel the Lord’s call—but often, we’re unsure where to begin. -Wendy
This was my first time serving on the planning committee, taking on roles like roadshows and ticketing. What looked like a 1-day event was, in truth, the fruit of 15 months of prayer, planning, and preparation
I’m deeply grateful to have been part of HFF—an inspiring and eye-opening platform that revealed the many ways we can serve in overseas missions, using our time, gifts, and hearts.
Trusting God Behind the Lens. -TJ
When I joined the missionary group in 2016, I was asked to take photos despite not having a camera. I soon realised that mission work wasn’t about my abilities, but about relying on God’s strength.
Years later at OHFC, I was asked to photograph HFF events. Though still untrained, God reminded me in prayer that it’s not about my ability, but my willingness to trust Him.
Through every step, I’ve learned to capture not just moments, but testimonies—showing the world what God has done for us.
8 Months of Grit and Growth with CHARIS. -Agnes
When I joined CHARIS as a fresh graduate, I was entrusted with meaningful leadership opportunities. Returning as a volunteer for eight months, I embraced a variety of responsibilities, finding the experience both challenging and deeply rewarding. CHARIS builds people, strengthens communities, and supports humanitarian causes, and I’m grateful to the CHARIS family and volunteers for making this journey truly unforgettable.
God's Joy Lives in Everyone. Come, Be His Hands and Feet! -Elaine
Volunteering with CHARIS since June 2024 has been truly a blessing. I am constantly humbled by the people we serve —their hearts are generous, even in the midst of hardship.
God has shown me that His joy lives in everyone, regardless of their circumstances. It's vital to raise awareness of the challenges facing our brethren overseas and open the door for others to embark on their own journey of mission work.
